Letting Go of Fear
A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of going kayaking for the first time. While I used to row on a team when I lived in Canada (and my team took 1st place during the 2 years I was on the team), I am used to being in a large 8 man row boat. So being in a snug, personal boat was a bit different, especially since it was made out of canvas. Yes, I was in an infatable boat! It was a bit scary in a way- it was like an extension of my lower body, and you could feel the water beneath you. The thought that ran through my head was just trust. Trust that the universe would keep me safe and not flip me over which would have been easy to do. While in the middle of the lake, I needed to adjust myself in the boat, which is not easily done because when you push down on the boat's edges, it isn't sturdy and all you do is let in water! Not a good idea. Can you see where the thought of needing to trust could come in?
But letting go of the fear and just being in the moment out on the water by myself was so much fun and a first for me. I may be a water sign, but us scorpios love to be near the water, not necessarily in it!
Here's to moving through fear and trusting the universe. Oh yeah.
